What is the SDS?

The Security Driving System is a mechanical fail-safe sub-system integrated into the vehicle’s steering architecture.
It is designed to :

• maintain continuous steering capability in the event of an incident,
• reinforce driver safety in high-performance and leisure applications,
• ensure a consistent and predictable driving feel, in line with JTEKT’s steering expertise,
• provide a robust and reliable solution for mobility, motorsport and defence applications.
