Why to choose JTEKT IAM products ?

The products we offer are from OE lines (original products); the quality is strictly identical to the original equipment parts.

What is the exact composition of the "steering" product ? What about axial (inner) ball joints, bellows and steering (outer) ball joints?

We offer complete products, the majority of which are supplied with the steering ball joints (long gear), but we can also supply products with only the axial ball joints and bellows (short gear).

Are the screws included with the product?

No, the screws to fix the steering on the vehicle are not part of the product.

Do you sell components?

No we only sell full product or some repairs kit like : boot kit, OBJ (steering outer ball joints) or IBJ (steering inner ball joints) kit.

What are the returns conditions for your products ?

  1.  If it is a reference error and the product has not been assembled, the distributor will inform you of the return conditions.
  2. If the installed product is faulty, the procedure between JTEKT and the distributor will be applied.

Why are your products more expensive than your competitors ones ?

We only sell original products, at the same quality level as for car manufacturers, our products are often more complete including OBJ (steering outer ball joints).

Each product is directly approved by the car manufacturer concerned during the project phase.

Is it possible to adapt an existing product to a specific application?

After study, some modifications/adaptations are possible but the final integration and validation are the responsibility of the customer (see General Terms Conditions).

How much does a specific development cost?

The cost of specific developments is necessarily very different because they are directly linked to the product – Any development must therefore be studied on a case-by-case basis and is subject to approval by JTEKT’s top management.

Do you supply the connectors on the vehicle side?

This supply is usually the responsibility of the manufacturer, decision to be studied on a case by case basis.

Do you supply the hydraulic hoses on the vehicle side?

This supply is the responsibility of the manufacturer, JTEKT does not supply the hydraulic hoses.

What is a prototype?

It is a product supplied in very low volume or a specific product used by the Customer for the design & Techniqueal validation of prototype vehicles – Some restrictions of use may exist and are the responsibility of the Customer.

What is the duration of supply for a product?

The lifespan of our products is 10-15 years after the end of the manufacturer’s serial production and can be subject to the manufacturer’s evolutions during its lifespan.

Do you provide the manufacturer's Techniqueal documentation associated with the product (Drawings, 3D CAD models, CAN data, etc.)?

Yes, but subject to the manufacturer’s agreement for some data.

Generally yes, but to be studied on a case by case basis.

Yes, this leaflet will be provided to you on request.

Yes, the majority of our products are delivered pre-programmed (plug & play type).
