The European draft regulation on the complete vehicle life cycle, adopted on September 8th, 2025, aims to strengthen circular economy practices in the automotive sector.

It promotes eco-circular design, better traceability, and the use of remanufactured spare parts for car repairs. The regulation also sets new targets for the use of recycled materials, supporting sustainability across the value chain.

Even if some points still need clarification, this initiative marks an important step for remanufacturing in Europe.
